The SDP-3 is a duct probe housing designed to accommodate a wide range of photoelectric smoke detection devices, including both conventional and analogue addressable types. It allows detectors to be mounted externally on an air duct to continuously monitor the airflow within the duct system.
Using an aspirating sampling method, air from inside the duct is drawn through a sampling pipe into the probe housing. This enables continuous monitoring using a standard LPCB-approved smoke detector, providing a simple, effective, and low-maintenance solution for duct smoke detection.
