The SMS SENTRI2-LPC-EN Loop Card is designed to fully comply with EN54-23 and is available for EN54 versions of the SenTRI TWO and SenTRI FOUR fire alarm systems. Its enhanced power capability supports up to 100 EN54-23 compliant sensor-sounder-strobe devices, with a total capacity of up to 200 devices per loop.
The loop card supports a minimum loop length of 1 km; however, actual loop design limits must be verified using the loop load design calculator. This tool also evaluates the impact of alarm device distribution, as evenly balanced loads using the latest devices may allow for extended loop lengths.
During loop allocation, the card automatically measures and displays loop resistance on the control panel, simplifying the commissioning process. If the measured resistance exceeds safe operating limits, the system will generate a fault indication to alert the engineer.
