The M201E is a single-output module that operates under the command of a fire alarm control panel. In supervised mode, the M201E monitors the wiring to connected load devices. When activated by the fire alarm control panel, it switches an external power supply to operate these devices while temporarily suspending load supervision.
If the external power supply voltage drops below a fixed threshold, the module generates an unlatched fault condition. In unsupervised mode, the M201E provides a single set of form C changeover contacts without supervising either the load or the power supply.
The M201E also includes built-in short-circuit protection for the communications loop, which can be enabled or disabled to suit the specific requirements of each installation.
