Kentec S737 Voyager Data Recorder Interface PCB
The S737 Voyager Data Recorder (VDR) interface PCB is designed to be installed near the Syncro AS Marine fire control panel. It is powered by the panel’s auxiliary 24V output and transmits details of fire events, faults, disablements, or panel control operations to the VDR via a two-core shielded RS485 connection.
The interface uses the NMEA 0183 standard for message formatting. Each message includes the detection device address, zone, and event type, with a maximum of 82 characters. While the Syncro AS Marine panel does not monitor the VDR link, it sends a “heartbeat” message every 30 seconds, enabling the VDR to detect and report any connection failures.
