The Freedor SmartSound is a fully wireless, battery-operated free-swing fire door closer. It allows doors to swing freely and remain open during normal use, improving access for disabled users, while automatically closing the door when a fire alarm is detected. Unlike other units, no additional wall or floor fittings are required. The closer is activated when the sound level exceeds 65 dBA for over 14 seconds. Its SmartSound™ technology filters out common background noises, reducing false activations while ensuring the door closes reliably during an alarm.
