The Geofire Salamander Fire Door Holding System is a fully compliant, wireless solution designed to safely hold fire doors open while providing ease of access throughout a building. Controlled via a central unit, the system is battery-powered, radio-interlinked, and managed from the mains-powered controller with battery backup, which connects to the building’s fire alarm panel.
By allowing doors to remain open under normal conditions, the system reduces wear and tear, protects flooring, and ensures unrestricted movement in line with the Disability Discrimination Act. All doors close automatically in the event of a fire alarm, radio or power failure, or low battery, making it a fail-safe solution.
