Paxton Entry is a versatile door entry system that can operate standalone or integrate seamlessly with Paxton Net2 or Paxton10 access control and video management. It combines door entry functionality with the advanced features of Paxton’s access control software.
The Vandal Resistant (VR) panel option is designed for high-security environments where durability is critical. With a market-leading IK10 impact rating and construction from marine-grade stainless steel, it meets the most demanding conditions. All Entry panels are IPX5 rated, making them suitable for outdoor use in all weather conditions.
Installation
Entry components connect via Cat5 or standard RJ45 patch cables, and can leverage existing network infrastructure for simple installation. Power over Ethernet (PoE) delivers both power and data over a single cable, eliminating the need for separate power supplies.
The surface mount VR panel can be installed directly on a wall, fully exposed for maximum impact resistance. Multiple panels can be associated with a single ACU for sites with more than one entrance.
A secondary IP camera can also be added and integrated into the Entry system, providing flexible monitoring and the ability to switch between cameras on the Entry monitor for areas with restricted visibility.
Operation
Visitors initiate a video call via the bell button on the external panel. Access can be granted through the Entry monitor, which features an intuitive touchscreen interface. Internal monitors support both handset (private) and hands-free operation.
When integrated with Net2 or Paxton10, building access can also be granted via PIN, code, or proximity token, including MIFARE® and Paxton tokens. Paxton10 additionally supports free Bluetooth Smart Credentials for Entry panels (Entry v2.22 required).

The Paxton Entry app allows users to answer the door and grant access remotely via a smartphone or tablet.
