The Eaton Crouse-Hinds Series MEDC HD1 Heat Detector range is designed for use in fire alarm and suppression systems across both offshore and onshore environments. It is suitable for a wide range of hazardous and demanding applications, including paint spray booths, flammable material storage areas, turbine rooms, extraction ductwork, and other locations within the oil & gas, petrochemical, and process industries.
The HD1 incorporates a Fenwal rate-compensated heat detector featuring a robust, all-stainless-steel external construction. The detector is available with either a Type SM87 marine-grade alloy enclosure for Ex d applications or a JB10 corrosion-free GRP enclosure for Ex ia and Ex em/UL applications.
The detector contact closes when the specified alarm temperature is reached, providing a reliable signal for connection to compatible fire alarm or suppression systems.
